Quality Guidelines for Used Sneakers

When listing an item in the Used category, it is required to select a “Item condition” corresponding to its state and to upload pictures of the item.

Please select the condition level that is closest to the actual state of the item in your possession.

If the selected condition level does not match the actual condition of the item, we will confirm with the buyer at the time of authentication whether or not the transaction can continue.

Please note that, if the transaction is cancelled, we may return the item(s) by cash on delivery.

・Precautions regarding ‘Box Condition’, ‘Tissue Paper Condition’, ‘Item Pictures’, and ‘Supplementary Information’ are written at the bottom section of this page.

・The condition list is only an example. Condition level standards may vary depending on the item.

・Product images on SNKRDUNK may appear different from actual color tone due to the photoshooting environment.

・Quality standards for luxury brand items (including collaboration items) are different from others.

・Regarding luxury brand items on SNKRDUNK, you can check them by tapping the “+” button at the bottom center of the app screen and then tapping “ハイブランド商品を出品” (“List Luxury Items”).

*Should multiple levels apply to your item, please select the lowest level your item falls under.

*Please refer to our Damaged Box Guidelines for further details regarding “箱の状態”.

*Please select whether or not you have the special branded tissue paper in the 包装紙の状態 section.

Please ensure to completely inspect your item according to the below procedure.

Small areas of damage like the following can be noted upon performing this preliminary inspection.

・Yellowing or staining on the upper and base of the item

・Yellowing to the midsole/shoe tongue

・Damage/scuffing on the outsole

・Box damage

The condition of the insoles are also inspected, but the preliminary inspection is at the discretion of the seller.

Depending on the item itself, the insoles may be glued to main body of the sneaker, and so we advise to take the appropriate care when removing these during the preliminary inspection.

SNKRDUNK inspect the following points in insoles.

・If there staining and/or damage that exceeds what is expected in relation to wear condition

・If they are the original insoles present from the time of primary distribution

・In case the insoles have been exchanged, if this information can be confirmed in the listing pictures or supplementary information section

*Please note that it is possible that we will be unable to confirm whether an item with replaced insoles is genuine or not, and so we may cancel this transaction under "Unable to Authenticate”.

As with the listing of a new item, only "unused" items may be listed under this category.

Please select "新古品(未着用)" (New used item (unused)) if you would like to consider purchasing the item after confirming the condition of the item from the images posted.

*If the item has scratches or stains that may have occurred during production, a picture to verify the condition of the item is required.

*Items with damage/stains occurred during production and considered to be individual differences between items will meet our guideline standards.

*Items tried on in the store at the time of purchase can be listed as "新古品(未着用)" (New used item (unused)).

You may list items that have only been worn outdoors for a short time and are in a condition with little scratches and stains.

Very minor scuffing that does not affect the design of the outsole will meet the product guidelines for "未使用に近い" (Nearly unused).

If only some (partial) minor scratches, stains, or wrinkles exist, please select "未使用に近い" (Nearly unused).

For items with large scratches or stains other than those listed above, some images to verify the item's condition are required.

If there are not enough images to verify the condition, the item will not meet the product guidelines for the "未使用に近い" (Nearly unused) category.

Although some signs of wear can be seen, items that do not have any noticeable scratches and stains can be listed under this category.

Please select "目立った傷や汚れなし" (No noticeable scratches or stains) for items that have minor flaws such as those can be found on items worn several times (approximately 2 to 9 times), such as minor stains or scuffing on the outsoles, wrinkles on the uppers, or heels, or contain minor scratches or stains.

Items with strong signs of wear, or with insufficient images to verify their condition, will not meet the product guidelines for the "目立った傷や汚れなし" (No noticeable scratches or stains) category.

You can list items that have signs of wear that can be seen at first glance and have scratches and stains that can be seen throughout the item.

Stains and scuffing on the outsoles and overall wrinkles, damages, stains, and scratches that can be seen on items worn ten or more times (approximately 10 to 19 times) are considered to meet the product guidelines for the "やや傷や汚れあり" (Slightly scratched and stained) category.

Items with significant damage due to age or wear, or if there are insufficient images to verify the item's condition, will not meet the product guidelines for the "やや傷や汚れあり" (Slightly scratched or stained) category.

You can list items that have significant damage due to wear and age.

Please select "傷や汚れあり" (Have scratches and stains) for items with strong signs of wear, such as stains and scuffing on the outsole, extensive wrinkles, scratches, stains, yellowing, and loss of shape, as seen in products worn dozens of times (approximately 20 times or more).

Items with holes or other damage that may affect wearability, or with insufficient images to verify the item condition, will not meet the product guidelines for the "傷や汚れあり" (Have scratches and stains) category.

Please select "全体的に状態が悪い" (Poor overall condition) for items with damage that is likely to affect wearability, or with severe scratches, stains, or yellowing.

Additionally, it is possible to list items with defects such as damage that is likely to affect the usage, but we ask you to include clear pictures of the affected area and an explanation in the additional information area.

If there are insufficient images to verify the item's condition, it will be deemed that the item does not meet the product guidelines even in the "全体的に状態が悪い" (Poor overall condition) category.

It is possible to list sneakers that have had their original insole replaced.

Should the insoles of your sneakers have been replaced, please mention this in the additional information section on your listing.

Should this information not be included, the item will be judged to not meet our used item guideline standards.

*Please note that it is possible that we will be unable to confirm whether an item with replaced insoles is genuine or not, and so we may cancel this transaction under "Unable to Authenticate”.

Insoles that present light degree of pilling due to trial wears in store will be deemed to meet our used item guideline standards for a “新古品(未着用)”.

Additionally, depending on the item model or item, the insoles may have been strongly bonded to the sneaker itself due to the manufacture process.

Light damage to the underside, light notching, or marks left by glue may occur when the insole is taken from the sneaker.

Even if this is the case, they will still meet our guideline standards for a “新古品(未着用)”

Light blemishes or pilling may occur through light wearing and will meet our guideline standards for a “未使用に近い” item.

Additionally, fading wearing to the logo on the inner sole can be seen often, even in items only worn a few times.

For this reason, partially faded/worn logos will meet our guideline standards for a “未使用に近い” item.

Blemishes, pilling, and extremely minor damage limited to a small area, will meet our guideline standards for an item with “目立った傷や汚れなし”.

However, blemishes or pilling across the whole insole will not meet this standard, and so please select “やや傷や汚れあり” instead.

Insoles with visible signs of use such as blemishes, pilling, or abrasion across the whole insole, or insoles with breakage limited to a small area will meet our quality guidelines for an item with “やや傷や汚れあり”.

However, damage extending across the whole insole will not meet this standard, and so please select “やや傷や汚れあり” instead.

Insoles with traces of wear across the whole insole such as blemishes, pilling, abrasion and breakage will meet our guideline standards for “傷や汚れあり”.

However, insoles with abrasion and breakage across a wide area will not meet this standard, and so please select “全体的に状態が悪い” instead.

For insoles that have strong blemishes, pilling, abrasion or damage across a wide area that will affect the usage of the sneaker, please select “全体的に状態が悪い”.

Please select whether or not the special tissue paper (i.e. printed design) is included.

Plain white tissue paper is not considered an accessory, so if your item comes with only plain white tissue paper, there is no need to select this option.

*If you select "包装紙あり (With tissue paper)" for an item that comes with only plain white tissue paper, the plain white tissue paper will be required and must be included with the item.

Please select "包装紙あり (Have tissue paper)", if you have special tissue paper with a printed design that can be included with the item.

*Any condition of the tissue paper (tears, rips, etc.) is acceptable.

If any of the following points are applicable, please select ”包装紙なし” (‘No Tissue Paper’) when listing your item.

・Only plain, tissue paper is included

*If you have selected ‘Have Tissue Paper’, it must be the same as the tissue paper included time of shipment from the manufacturer, even if it is the plain tissue paper

・If the tissue paper included from time of shipment from the manufacturer is missing

・If you have the shoe bag or the dedicated storage bag *This is not treated as tissue paper, but as an accessory

Please select "違うスニーカーの包装紙" if the item is wrapped in a different tissue paper other than the one included at the time of manufacturer shipment of the item itself, such as the tissue paper from another sneaker.

Please select "包装紙なし" if the item is wrapped in other types of paper.

*Newspaper, craft paper, assorted paper, or others are not considered to be tissue paper

If the box is the original box from the time of primary distribution with the correct model number and size, please select the condition as below.

Tears, stains, dents, etc. that are considered to be within our guideline standards ("OK" cases in the Damaged Box Guidelines) will be considered to meet the guideline standards for items that include their box ("Box Included" category)

*If there is damage that can be confirmed in the listing pictures, this damage will not be factored into our inspection, regardless of the ‘Item Condition’

*If there is damage that cannot be confirmed in the listing pictures, we will confirm with the buyer and ask whether they would like to continue with the transaction

Tears, stains, or dents that correspond to any of the "NO" condition in the Damaged Box Guidelines, or that extend to multiple areas, will be considered to meet the guideline standards for "Box included (Damaged)" items.

In addition, when "箱あり(ダメージあり) Box Included (damaged)" is selected, even if there are correspondences to any of the "NO" conditions, the item will be authenticated in accordance with the item condition that was selected, and will be considered to meet our standards.

If any of the following points are applicable, please select ‘Box Not Included’ when listing your item.

・If the item is in a box from a different pair of sneakers

・If the lid is missing from the box

・If the lid has been cut off (outlet sales channel)

Please post pictures of your item according to the instructions on the listing page.

If you take pictures in an area that is too bright, the item can appear different to how it is in reality.

If we are unable to accurately identify staining or the degree of yellowing, or if there is a discrepancy in item’s condition e.g. the degree of usage is different compared to the picture provided on the listing page, the transaction may be cancelled.

Please provide detailed information about the condition of your item.

We kindly ask for you to make sure to include information about the following points.

・If there are strong odors like smoke, mold or air fresheners on the item

・If the item has been repaired or its color has been amended
